Perfect For All Vintage Darlings

All things Vintage are huge and here at Bijoux Burlesque we know why ladies are choosing vintage for their Vintage Inspired Hen Party

The 1930s/40s/50s were a time of sophistication, of style, of elegance where women were allowed to look and feel like real women. The woman's figure was enhanced with stylish figure hugging wiggle dresses but the ladies assets underneath the dresses were still well hidden from every Tom, Dick and Harry, unlike today where the ladies assets are well and truly on shown to Tom, Dick and Harry.

For the ladies here at Bijoux Burlesque our vintage style icons are Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, both ladies oozed sex appeal in a classy and elegant fashion. The clothes they wore were understated yet stylish, simple yet sensual. Both ladies had very different body shapes however they both knew how to dress to enhance their their shape and convey their sex appeal and in the words of Audrey Hepburn herself:
“There is more to sex appeal than just measurements. I don't need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain.”
Their sex appeal came from their confidence, ladies want to be them and the gentlemen wanted to be with them.

So in our modern world where it seems that the womanly figure is seen as too curvy and undesirable Bijoux Burlesque understand why so many modern ladies are harking back to a time where curves were desired on their vintage style hen parties. Where glamour and elegance were an everyday occurrence not just for a special occasion and where a size 16 was seen as the ideal. Where women were real women.

Bijoux Burlesque have been lucky enough to provide Vintage Style Hen Party Photoshoot to fabulous hens during 2013. Our Vintage Photo Shoot Hen Parties have taken place throughout the whole of the UK from London to Edinburgh, the ladies have shined on camera and reminded us of our style icons, but don't take our word for it, have a look below.
