Our wonderful clients have had a fab time this weekend, it may have been cold outside but our Scotish Bollywood Babes looked hot on their Bollywood Hen Party and nailed the dance routines!

History of the Hen Party

Although the Stag Party tradition goes back for centuries the hen night is a much more recent invention. Starting during the sexual revolution of the sixities the hen night mainly consisted of a meal with close friends and it was not until the 80s/90s that the tradition really became popular and oh how times have changed!

Now the tradition of the Hen Party and Stag Party is thankfully equal and each gender places the same amount of preparation and focus on their last night - weekend - week - two weeks of freedom.

The modern Hen Party ranges from sophisticated cocktail making to the saucy burlesque hen party. The style of hen party depends on the style of the hen, she can choose from vintage photo shoots to hula hoop hen parties, stay in the UK or head over to Europe for a sun filled weekend, the decision is hers!

So Scandalous!!

Today,down at Bijoux HQ,we are trying to perfect our Charleston moves.We are always breaking out into a song or dance!

Our Charleston hen parties are proving a firm favourite all across the UK.The cheeky moves and glamorous style is definitely a hit when hosting a party!

Did you know that The Charleston is a dance named for the city of Charleston, South Carolina. It became well known in the United States in 1923,when a tune called "The Charleston", originated in a Broadway  show. Then it became one of the most popular hits of the decade!

The Charleston dance was particularly favoured by the Flappers, rebellious young women of the 1920′s known for wearing short dresses, bobbing hair and listening to Jazz music – all considered scandalous! During this time,It was banned from many dance halls because it was too  exuberant! 

In our Charleston Hen Parties, we encourage exuberance and fringed dresses,it's all about having lots and lots of fun! As the photo shows,there's a little bit of flapper in all of us.After all,we all know,us 'girls just wanna have fun!'

Busy Busy Busy

We have been busy this week with such a diverse range of parties. It just proves that everybody is different and it takes all sorts to make the world go around!

 Recently we have had sexy Salsa Hen Parties in London, Single Ladies Hen Parties in Newcastle, 80's Hen Party in Brighton, Bollywood Hen Party in Glasgow, not to mention our pin up parties and powder and pin curl events.

We believe that we are all individuals,and personal taste is exactly that,personal! 

We like to cater to all walks of life and our diverse range of party ideas reflect that. We also like to work closely with our clients and teachers to make sure we are getting it right, so feedback, however constructive! Is always welcome.  So this week, lets celebrate being unique and one of a kind!
